The room was most pleasing
First impression of The Jays Guesthouse was favourable. John, the owner, extended a warm welcome as did Rudi, John's best friend, the spaniel. The room was most pleasing, immaculately clean and well supplied with everything you would have at home. In fact, I stayed for three nights and felt safe, warm and comfortably at home. Both John and Jane were the epitome of discretion, a sought after characteristic amongst guesthouse owners.
Loved taking my morning breakfast, seated on the wide veranda listening to the repetitive tune of the "rainbird" calling out it's age old warning, "Piet, maak gou," urging the farmers to make haste harvesting their crops!
